Join PRSA Richmond Tuesday, Jan. 9 for an interactive session that will prepare you to write winning award entries for the 71st Virginia PR Awards. The workshop will include an overview of the changes to award categories in 2018.

The workshop will be broadcast via Facebook live starting at 8 a.m. on Jan. 9. It will also be available to watch on the Richmond PRSA Facebook page on an ongoing basis following the live broadcast. Download the presentation (PDF) to follow along.
Speakers will include:
- Cameron McPherson, APR, PRSA Richmond president – Cameron will review the changes to awards categories for the 2018 awards season.
- Jay Ell Alexander, individual awards chair – Jay Ell will provide information about how to submit for the Rising Star and Thomas Jefferson Awards, reviewing the recommendation process and scoring rubric.
- Jeff Wilson, APR, past president – Jeff will cover offer tips and pointers for crafting a winning entry.
- Jennifer Guild, APR, past president – Jennifer will take a deep dive into her winning entry, providing a case study example.
The workshop is FREE to PRSA members. Non-members may attend for a fee of $10 each. The workshop will be held at the Virginia Society of CPAs, located at 4309 Cox Road. A networking session with bagels will kick off the session from 7:30 to 8 a.m., and the workshop will be held 8 to 10 a.m.
Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Advance payment with a credit card is highly preferred, but checks and cash will be accepted at the door. If you register, please plan to attend – refunds are not available unless three business days notice is given, and no-shows will be invoiced.
