Join us Thursday, Nov. 15 as we welcome Andrew Eagar, SEO Manager at Workshop Digital, for tips and tricks communications professionals can use to drive more search traffic to their websites. SEO (search engine optimization), is the technique businesses use to drive as much organic traffic as possible from search engines like Google to their websites. To capture this organic search, it’s important to ensure your website is "optimized" to be search-engine friendly. This is done by making your website accessible to search engines and easier for people to use. Turns out, communications professionals control a number of things important to SEO – content, copy and links back to your website (which you can encourage with partnerships and media relations).
The workshop is open to PRSA members and non-members and will be held at Diversity, located at 1407 Sherwood Ave. in Richmond. A networking session with bagels will kick off the session from 7:30 to 8 a.m., and the workshop will be held 8 to 10 a.m.
Andrew Eagar has worked in SEO for more than a decade, leading classes and workshops throughout that time. He currently manages a team of SEO analysts at Workshop Digital, implementing strategies and tactics to ensure clients meet their objectives. He has done everything from creating an SEO offering specific to small businesses, to launching a large-scale web redesign and migration.
Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration costs are $25 for PRSA members and $35 for non-members. Advance payment with a credit card is highly preferred, but checks and cash will be accepted at the door. If you register, please plan to attend – refunds are not available unless three business days notice is given, and no-shows will be invoiced.
